Newsha Tavakolian’s photography focuses on women’s issues in the Middle East. Recently she began a project making portraits of female Iranian singers who are not allowed to sing solo. Based upon their stories Tavakolian created photographs in December 2010, which act as their dream CD covers, including album titles. However, the cases are empty.
